What customers asked to have in the clinic
What a family wants when their child has health issues and needs to be hospitalised. Do they need to choose between vacations or child caring in the clinic. Or can we instead combined both?
A family with two kids was vacationing in the hotel, when one of the children had health issues and needed to stay overnight in a clinic. Apart from loosing precious holiday time, the family was worried and only one thing counted: to be next to the hospitalised child. So the family was spending almost all day keeping him company and looking after him. It was late afternoon, when Irene, a front office supervisor, visited the family in the clinic, after finishing her job.
She asked of course about the health condition of the kid, but she also showed interest in the rest of the family, as they had to replace a luxury hotel with a room in a clinic. Irene also asked them, if they have any wish or request for the night. The mother thanked her for the genuine interest and concern. “If there is one thing that we love to have, its a proper meal. Is it possible to have our Halfboard meal … in the clinic?”
This unusual request was fulfilled by the Hotel. The chef prepared food for all of them and Christiana, the PR manager, made the effort to deliver the halfboard meal in the clinic. This was a nice highlight for the thankful family. That’ a nice way to exceed guest expectations and to give a nice story to tell!
